Study Tour Overview

Jesus initiated a disciple‑making movement that continued to grow long after His ascension. This leadership study tour will trace the life and ministry of the Apostle Paul in Greece, exploring how he carried forward Jesus’ movement and how those same principles can be applied today. Together, we will walk through the Book of Acts and Paul’s letters, examining how the early church spread the gospel and multiplied disciples across regions and cultures in places like Thessaloniki, Philippi, Berea (Veria), Athens, and Corinth.

As we visit key biblical and historical sites—such as Philippi’s ruins, the Bema of Paul in Berea, the Acropolis and Mars Hill in Athens, and Ancient Corinth and Acrocorinth—we will connect Scripture to the physical locations where Paul taught, discipled, and planted churches. These experiences will provide both deep historical context and practical insight into disciple‑making and church multiplication in real‑world settings.

Purpose:

  • Bring together Youth for Christ leaders from across Canada to build momentum for disciple‑making movements.

  • Study the life of Jesus and observe how His strategy was carried forward by the Apostle Paul and early church leaders, as “the word of the Lord continued to increase and prevail mightily.”

  • Explore key ancient sites in Greece (Thessaloniki, Philippi, Berea, Athens, Corinth, and more) while learning leadership lessons rooted in the practices of the early church.

  • Learn from experienced practitioners about effective and sustainable disciple‑making strategies.

  • Pray and worship together on location, seeking God for a renewed movement across our nation.

  • Develop practical applications for local YFC chapters across Canada, contextualizing what we learn in Greece.

  • Assess our current stage in disciple‑making and identify clear next steps to move forward with focus and purpose.
