Jesus cultivated a movement of disciple-making which continued beyond His ascension to heaven. Our leadership study tour will walk us through the span of Jesus' life to learn from His movement-building and to apply the principles to our lives - to intentionally shift from doing ministry to cultivating movements. Our hope is that walking the book of Acts together will help us to explore how the early church spread the Gospel and created a discipleship movement. We will also be visiting the 7 Churches of Revelation (and the Island of Patmos where the Apostle John wrote the Book of Revelation) that will provide practical and helpful insights into disciple-making.

 

Purpose:

• Gather together as leaders from across Canada to build momentum for disciple-making movements. 

• Study the life of Jesus and see his strategy lived out by the apostle Paul and the early church leaders as "the Word of the Lord increased and prevailed mightily."

• We will tour several ancient sites and study leadership lessons in disciple-making from the early church.

• Learn from practitioners around the world about best practices in disciple-making.

• Pray and worship together for a movement of God in our nation.

• Practical application for our Chapters across Canada.

• Help us determine our current phase of discipleship-making; and learn what we need to do to break through to the next phase, and how we can intentionally implement a comprehensive disciple-making strategy in our Chapters.

The Study Tour includes:  Airfare from Toronto, all lodging in Türkiye, deluxe bus transportation throughout the country, daily breakfast and dinner and some lunches, all entrance fees, the services of a professional guide and driver, tips for drivers, guide and hotel staff.  

 

Tour costs do NOT include: Some lunches, snacks, beverages at meals, souvenirs, items of a personal nature and air travel cancellation insurance.
